Dear compassionate friends and supporters,
Today, I reach out to you with a heavy heart and a fervent hope for change. We are in dire need of your support to assist the most vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers who are facing unimaginable hardships in our camp.
As winter wraps its cold arms around us, many families are left without basic necessities. People are sleeping on boxes, with no blankets to shield them from the biting temperatures. Each night, you can hear the sound of shivering bodies, each one a testament to their struggle against the harsh reality of life in the camp.
Our women and children are among the most at risk. The desperate circumstances have led to heartbreaking instances of abuse, as vulnerable women are preyed upon simply for the chance to secure food for their families. This is not just a crisis of hunger; it is a profound violation of dignity and safety.
Moreover, too many children are unable to attend school because their stomachs ache with hunger. Education is the key to a brighter future, yet it is slipping away from the grasp of innocent kids who deserve a chance at a better life. Understandably, how can a child learn when all they can think about is their next meal?
We cannot stand by and let this continue. It is time for us to come together as a community and extend our hands to those in need. With your support, we can provide essential items like food and clothing to those who are suffering right now. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring hope to a family who feels they have lost everything.
Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly to providing:
Emergency Food Parcels: Staples like maize meal, beans, and cooking oil to fight hunger and malnutrition.
Warm Blankets and Clothing: To protect our people from the life-threatening winter cold.
A Chance at Safety & Dignity: To ensure no one has to make an impossible choice just to survive another day.
Please, let us unite in compassion. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of the refugees and asylum seekers in the Osire Camp. Let us help them find warmth, safety, and – perhaps the most crucial – a sense of hope for a brighter tomorrow.
Thank you for your generosity and kindness. Your support means the world to us and to those who need it most.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Pwepwe Jules Kidwanga
