Friends of Eastern Cemetery Inc.

As a board member of the Friends of Eastern Cemetery Inc., I've created this fundraiser. As you can see in the photo, a large tree in Section A is dying and needs to be removed. If it falls, it will damage numerous headstones. The tree is so large and dangerous that we need to rent a crane for a day. We are asking you to help us rent the crane. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to so many.

It is with utter sadness and regret that I make this post.

Within the last 24-48 hours, the garage that the Friends of Eastern Cemetery has used to store our equipment has been broken into. The equipment that we have worked so hard to raise money to purchase, because we so desperately need it, has been stolen.  This loss is not only heartwrenching, it is devistating to us as an organiation.  We depend on it to serve Eastern and our community.   

Without our tools, Eastern will return to it's former state of abandonment and dispair.  We now have almost nothing. 

The list of equipment stolen:
-All three of our commercial mowers
-Several push mowers
-All of our commercial trimmers
-Our 4 wheeler and trailer
-Our generator
-Two chainsaws
-Backpack sprayer
-20 + hand held pump sprayers
-20 pounds of trimmer line
-Four gallons of 2 stroke 
-Two gallons of bar oil
-Several sets of replacement blades for the big mowers and the small mowers
-Two walk behind string trimmers and several other things.

Any help you can give us would mean the world not only to us, but to the families and friends of those who have relatives buried in Eastern.
