Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove

Cycling Without Age is an amazing program that will allow elderly and less-able members of our community the opportunity to remain active in society despite limitations that may otherwise lead to a sedentary, sometimes lonely, lifestyle. Through Cycling Without Age, we will give these individuals the chance to experience our community and surroundings not through a window or from the sidelines but rather from a bicycle.  In addition to the joy of having the wind blow through their hair, each passenger will have the chance to share his or her story as we wind through nature at a slow, comfortable pace. We will build bridges between generations and reinforce trust and respect in our society. All of the funds we are raising will be used to purchase the trishaw and insurance required to offer rides. Once the trishaw has been purchased, all rides provided to the elderly and less-able members of our community are completely free of charge! This is an all volunteer, strictly charitable venture that we are super excited to implement in Elk Grove Village.
