Fresh Hope for Mental Health provides support groups that are peer-led. These groups are for people with a mental health diagnosis and also their loved ones. Research shows that finding a way to live a hope-filled life can best be caught, not taught, by peers who have “been there” and are now living well. The research also shows that the best antidote for hopelessness is hope that is rooted in faith.
Our book, "Fresh Hope: Living Well in Spite of Having a Mental Health Diagnosis," has recently been translated into Spanish. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are currently 35.3 million people in the Spanish-speaking world who suffer with depression -- and that number doesn't include everyone else who suffers from all other types of mental disorders.
