Meet young pianists  Melvil Capouto and Maxime Alberti!

We are raising $7,000 to close our $10,000 Scholarship Fund goal. ($3,000 has already been raised, thanks to our loyal partners!)


For each pianist, the scholarship will fund:
     -  Round-trip flights from Paris to New York
     -  IKIF Festival Tuition (2 weeks)
     -  Housing on campus (2 weeks)
     -  Their USA debut at the "Young Artist Recital" in the Consulate of France

ABOUT DONATIONS:
·         All donations are tax deductible.
·         Those who donate $100 or more will receive one VIP  ticket to the Young Artist Recital and champagne recital on July 18 .
·         Those who donate $500 or more will receive an invitation for a VIP Tour of the Steinway Factory (in addition to 5 VIP Tickets).



Founded in 2014, with the support of its members and donors, French-American Piano Society has awarded scholarships to 17 young pianists who have earned 2 finalist positions, 6 semi-finalist positions, and $12,000 in combined recital prizes at the IKIF Artist Recognition Scholarship Awards in New York City. As a results, our scholarship program is a career catalyst for young French pianists.

The scholarship recipients are carefully selected by the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris  and the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris-Cortot .

Join us to fund two scholarships for Lea Lyon and Alexandre Lory, in order to participate at the 2018 International Keyboard Institute & Festival and perform on July 19, 2018 at the Consulate of France in New York (their U.S recital debut).

$50+ Donors will receive two invitations to our June 21st  "Fete de la Musique" Two-Piano Extravaganza recital at the Steinway Hall at 7:30 pm in New York (1133 Avenue of the Americas) followed by a VIP Reception.

$150+ Donors will receive two invitations to the scholarship recipient's Recital and Award Ceremony,  as well as an invitation to the reception at the Consulate of France in New York (934 Fifth Avenue) on July 19th at 6:30 pm.


Meet Alexandre Lory

   Alexandre Lory is an artist of great talent and deep sensitivity. He made his debut as a soloist with orchestra at 18 years old with the Harmony Orchestra of Lecce and the Symphony Orchestra of Aix en Provence. After completing his musical studies in Aix en Provence, he was unanimously admitted in 2011 to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris where he studies with Roger Muraro and Isabelle Dubuis and obtained his Bachelor’s degree (DNSPM) and Master's degree.

    Alexandre concertizes worldwide, both as a solo pianist and performing in chamber music ensembles. He has participated in numerous festivals, such as the Festival de la Roque d’Anthéron, the Messiaen Festival of Meije, the Folle Journée de Nantes, the Festival “All About Piano” in London, the Ysaÿe’s Knokke Festival in Belgium, the Kyoto International Music Student

   Alexandre is currently pursuing his Performing Artist Diploma at the CNSMD de Paris as a recipient of the Blüthner Prize. He is also laureate of the association Piano Cantabile, Fondation Safran, the Fondation Banque Populaire and the Mécénat Musical Société Générale.


Meet Léa Lyon

  Léa Lyon began playing piano at the age of 9 and gave her debut solo recital at the age of 11. Lyon participated at several international piano competitions, including the Piano Competition of France (GCIP), and has performed at various events in the South of France. When she was 15, she was admitted to the conservatory of Paris to study with Romain Descharmes; she obtained all her diplomas with honors, including piano, music analysis, music theory, and chamber music.  Lyon currently studies with Hortense Cartier-Bresson whom she met in a workshop in Tignes.

   Lyon is the 2nd prize recipient at the International Piano Competition of Claude Kahn and the Piano Competition of Chatou, as well as a laureate at the Lagny’s Piano Competition. In 2017, she was invited to perform at the Nancyphonies. 

   She was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse of Lyon the same year, where she is currently in the studios of Sébastien Vichard and Svetlana Eganian.
