Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Frankfort Lions Charities Inc, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
The Frankfort Lions club was founded in 1941 and is a community organization with dedicated volunteers who serve the Frankfort area. Frankfort Lions Club is chartered by Lions Clubs International which represents 1.35 million Lions in 46,000 Clubs located 206 countries throughout the world.
Since 1981, the Frankfort Lions Club has raised significant monies for our Community Charities Fund to support our mission and serve our community. The Frankfort Lions Wurst Festival is our major event in order to fund special projects, organizations and efforts that help our community. Yet this year, our club will not be able to host the Frankfort Lions Wurst Festival due to the pandemic. According to Governor Pritzker’s Phase IV Guidelines of the Restore Illinois Plan, large gatherings are not allowed, and our fest typically has over 1,000 attendees.
Last year we netted a little over $20,000 at this event. We want to thank all our past supporters and Event, Service and Pride Sponsors who generously donated $300 or more. Your generosity has been invested towards a variety of charitable opportunities in our community, such as purchasing and delivering over 2,300 food baskets for local families in need during the holidays, vision and hearing screenings for children and adults, local nonprofits serving pediatric cancer patients, children and adults with special needs, veteran organizations, scholarships for local high school students, Eagle Scout projects, diabetes awareness and environment sustainability projects to enhance and protect our community.
Your donation will be greatly appreciated by all members of the Frankfort Lions Club, and they are hopeful that many will continue to support us with their donation this year through this Go-Fund-Me program in order to continue serving our community. Our club will recognize all donors and sponsors throughout the year and would be happy to share any marketing materials to our 75+ members as well as through our social media platforms.
