Four Hearts Foundation

Four Hearts Foundation Founders, Kateri Chappell Buerman and Laurel Handel Polselli have one goal(for now!) -- a new playground for our community. Our mission is to rebuild the Portsmouth Playground on Turnpike Avenue to be bigger, better, safer and all-inclusive of age and ability. Our playground design was carefully created after visiting many playgrounds, polling local families and parents, and ensuring we fulfilled our mission of being appropriate for all ages and abilities.

Many longtime Portsmouth residents will recall the old wooden playground that was once on Turnpike Avenue. That playground was fun and exciting for its time and was a labor of love from the community. Many have beautiful childhood memories here. We are thankful for the opportunity to create a space so our children have the same beautiful memories in their town, at their playground.

We have been approved by the town council and are ready to raise money to begin our project. We have a unique and special opportunity to come together and once again build something great for our community. We are so appreciative to live in such a wonderful town and thank you for your consideration in donating. Now, let's build a playground Portsmouth!
