Dr Karin Hu Scholarship for Brain Science Scholars
Dr. Karin Hu, Ph.D. is retiring from the Behavioral Sciences Department at City College of San Francisco after a distinguished career of 39 years of teaching, including 30 of them full-time. Dr. Hu has taught thousands of Psychology students about the importance and functions of the amazing human brain in her Biological Psychology course. Her major contributions to CCSF includes the creation of two Psychology AA-T core courses, Biological Psychology and Research Methods, and her support of the Cannabis Studies program with the new course "Psychology of Psychoactive Drugs.” Dr. Hu received her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins, and completed a postdoc at Stanford.
The Dr. Karin Hu Scholarship for Brain Science Scholars is being created at CCSF to continue Dr. Hu's work of encouraging students to pursue biological psychology. Please contribute to honor the work and legacy of Dr. Hu!
