The Foundation for the Care of Indigent Animals (FCIA) rescues small homeless dogs scheduled for death and addresses their medical needs and finds them loving homes. The FCIA pays for veterinarian care required for dogs and cats at city shelters, over and above that which shelters are able to provide. The FCIA also assists animals needing critical veterinarian attention in the following situations: 1) Owner is poverty level 2) Owner is facing catastrophic fees 3) Good Samaritan with a lost or abandoned animal
