Carry It Forward--The Moynihan Fund

In tribute to Dave's legacy, the New York State Society of CPAs' Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE), has created the Carry It Forward campaign to launch The Moynihan Fund, providing support for academic scholarships, college readiness programs, and financial education initiatives.
A native of Syracuse, N.Y., Dave - a former president of the NYSSCPA - was an icon in the accounting profession and a strong advocate of various civic and charitable organizations, including the Central New York Community Foundation, the United Way, Spanish Action League of Syracuse and the NY State Fair Advisory Board.
He was a champion of providing educational opportunities - high school, college and professional - and has been directly responsible for helping hundreds of young people enroll in college and even more to become licensed certified public accountants.
He was never without a kind word for teachers and other adults who had made a difference in his life.
This campaign aims to honor Dave's spirit by asking you, your friends and your organizations to remember the teacher who made a difference in your life, who inspired you to become the person or professional you are today, and to help us carry forward that inspiration, that opportunity, to the next generation of students; or Dave's words doing what you can in "guiding, changing and making an impact on someone else's future life."
