The 49% is raising funds to host a groundbreaking global women’s rights gathering in Berlin this spring - a crucial convening of women’s rights activists, peace-builders, and community leaders from some of the world’s most conflict-affected regions.

Women must be at the forefront of global peace efforts. Yet right now, they are being shut out. In 2023, women made up less than 10% of peace negotiators worldwide. This has to change.

With your donations, we will bring 25 courageous women from conflict zones to this transformative gathering, ensuring that women's leadership is at the center of peace-building efforts.

The 49% is currently hiding a family in Afghanistan that is a target of the Taliban. They are now living in a safe house, fearing for their lives every minute. The woman is a feminist artist, the man is an activist, and together they have a one-year-old child. The Taliban has been searching for this family for months and will surely kill them if/when they are discovered.
