Friends of Marshall Animals

My name is Alera, I am 14 years old and I’m asking for your help on behalf of the puppies and kittens of Marshall, Texas. I’ve been a volunteer with FOMA since I was ten years old. Friends of Marshall Animals - FOMA is an animal advocacy and foster group dedicated to improving the lives of Marshalls many pets.  Through FOMA, with YOUR help, I hope to furnish the NEW Marshall Pet Adoption Center Medical Room.
In the four years that I have been with FOMA, the city euthanized 3,332 puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats. Over 90% of them were the most wanted- puppies and kittens! Some of them were victims of an old, overcrowded shelter, but many of them suffered from health issues that could have been easily treated if the shelter would have had the necessary equipment. Puppies and Kittens are the most at risk, especially when we don’t have the things we need to keep them safe. Finally, after 52 years, a new shelter is being built: the Marshall Pet Adoption Center!
The plan is to have a medical room where the animals could be vaccinated, treated for wounds or worms, and many other things. Most importantly, it could be a place where spays and neuters can be done. Right now, the shelter lacks this vital medical equipment, and the city does not have the funds to provide any for the new adoption center. They don’t even have a standard examination table or a medical scale.  If the medical room is not appropriately equipped, it will be really hard to help the most susceptible puppies and kittens, reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in Marshall and achieve no-kill status.
These are the items that I need to equip the Medical Room, and help the Adoption Center achieve no-kill status.
