Florida Mudcutters

The Florida Mudcutters Mountain Bike Club is the local SWFL chapter of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA). Our mission is to build, maintain, and advocate for sustainable mountain bike trails, fostering a thriving community of riders who share a passion for adventure and stewardship.

After many years of maintaining the trail system with small engine equipment such as weed eaters and hedge trimmers, we were able to acquire a brush hog last year and use county equipment to finally widen the trail corridor for mower access. Due to this hard work and a recent purchase of a new mower, we will be able to more efficiently maintain the existing trails and create opportunities for other trail projects.

So, we are raising funds to replenish our maintenance fund due to this exciting, yet hefty investment! Please send any amount you can spare and share our story with others who might be able donate to this cause.

Help the Florida Mudcutters make trail maintenance easier by raising funds to purchase a commercial-grade 48” or 52” zero-turn mower.

The Florida Mudcutters are a 501c3 non-profit organization that maintains about 13 miles of single-track mountain bike trail at Caloosahatchee Regional Park (CRP) in Alva, Florida. We are also actively working to develop other trail systems in the SWFL area.

Lee County Parks & Recreation (LCPR) had an older 60” SCAG Zero Turn that they allowed trained volunteers to utilize to maintain accessible areas of the bike trail. Recently, they retired their 60” and purchased a new 72” SCAG. Aside from the fact that the new mower cannot access many portions of the trail due to its increased width, LCPR does not want any volunteers on their brand new mower.

We need your help to keep CRP and other developing trail systems in good shape, especially during the wet season!
