Five Acres Animal Shelter, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, was organized in 1973 and is the only no-kill shelter in St. Charles County, Missouri.  Our mission is to "enrich the lives of pets in need and families with thoughtful placement through C.A.R.E.-Compassion, Advocacy, Responsibility and Education."  Our work centers around four main programs to include: (1) Animal Adoption Services; (2) AniMeals Pet Food Pantry; (3) Shadow's Fund, which provides emergency medical care; and (4) Education.
