Firefly Advocates

Firefly Advocates is a nonprofit organization based in Michigan, dedicated to providing legal assistance and advocacy for individuals who have been wrongfully imprisoned. Founded with a mission to fight for justice, we work tirelessly to shed light on cases of wrongful conviction, giving a voice to those who have been silenced by unjust legal outcomes. Our team consists of passionate legal experts, investigators, and volunteers who believe in the power of justice and the need for systemic change within the criminal justice system.

We recently helped free Duane Williams, a Detroit man who spent 12 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit. Through relentless investigation and legal efforts, we uncovered the truth and helped secure his release, allowing him to return home to his family and rebuild his life. This case is just one of many we have taken on in our fight for justice.

Currently, we are working on the case of Nosakhare Onumonu, another Detroit resident who is facing life in prison for a crime he maintains he did not commit. With your help, we are raising funds to continue the legal battle and provide him with the representation he desperately needs.
