Feline Finish Line Rescue

Operating for almost 9 years is a cat rescue, or heaven as I would like to call it, called Feline Finish Line Rescue located in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. This rescue has been run out of a woman named Catherine's house since the beginning. The cats get constant attention, loving, and even visits from Access Services, a group of disabled adults who come and help by doing small chores and playing with the cats. The whole downstairs of the house is transformed into a cats playground, with a rainforest themed two-car garage with shelves on the walls, walkways on the ceilings and a tree in the middle of the room for them to climb and scratch on.

This rescue is owned and operated by Catherine and a few dedicated volunteers. For many of us, this rescue has been our lives for years. Especially Catherine. But recently we have been scrambling to find both foster and permanent homes for the 52 cats under Catherine's care. Catherine is currently being cited by the city of Catasauqua for violating the city's zoning regulations. Being called a business, she was told she did not have the proper zoning requirements to run this out of her home.

The news was brought to her attention on Christmas Eve of 2015, and was finally told in March that she would need to appear in court and pay a heavy fine if the animals were not removed. She has a date in district court on May 12.

Our goal is to raise money for court fees and to relocate the existing kitties, and every dime goes straight to the cats.
