About Stamps
Stamps is a sweet, not-quite-two year old, retired racing greyhound. She came to FastFriends after finishing her racing career in Tijuana, joining a lovely foster-to-adopt home. Foster-dad David said, "Honestly, I cried the first time I met Stamps on retirement day. It was like an empty part of us was filled up again."
She was an absolute joy—young and vibrant and happy. Within a few days, she had settled in alongside the other Fast Friends adoptee in her foster home, Smoke. One of her favorite games was to empty the giant toy basket, one by one, trotting each stuffed animal by us to make sure her family saw her accomplishment. She napped on her back like a lot of greyhounds, showing how comfortable she was with.
Then her health declined suddenly, and the foster family jumped into action. They’ve been working hand-in-hand with the wonderful, caring folks at Fast Friends, who have spared no effort to diagnose and treat her. Stamps is very young—only a year and a half old—with a full, happy life ahead of her. She just needs to get over this hurdle to really start her retirement in style.

FastFriends Greyhound Adoption is dedicated to finding loving homes for every greyhound retiring from the Caliente Race Track in Tijuana. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit, charitable 501c3 organization with no paid or salaried positions. Our only purpose - to rescue racing greyhounds when their track careers are finished and find each one an adoptive home to live long, happy lives as companion pets and family members. We were founded October 1995 and have homed nearly 4000 ex-racing greyhounds.
All of the medical bills for fosters are paid for by FastFriends. This includes medical emergencies, like Stamps, and any dogs we receive with broken legs. The average broken leg dog can cost thousands in vet bills, not to mention a whole lot of TLC to get them up and running again.
