140.6 Miles for Jack-Racing Challenge Roth to help Cure SCN2
I’m Chad Brothers, and I’m reaching out to you to support Jack Tindal, the Tindal Family & FamilieSCN2A.
I am a middle-of-the-pack triathlete who, at 52, is looking to conquer his second Ironman (140.6 miles) with the help of Scott Tindal, founder of Fuelin. Scott has already helped guide me across several finish lines as well as the many other thousands of athletes he’s helped (via Fuelin) to conquer goals that once seemed out of reach. Now, it’s our turn to help his son, Jack Tindal, reach his finish line.
Jack was diagnosed with SCN2A-related disorder Loss of Function (LoF) shortly after his third birthday. SCN2A is a gene critical to brain communication and development.

SCN2A-related disorders are associated with:
- Seizures
- Developmental delay
- Intellectual disability
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Movement disorders
- Cortical visual impairment
- Dysautonomia
Unfortunately, children like Jack are often dismissed as “too rare to care.” Their conditions affect too few people to attract meaningful investment, leaving families without answers and children without options. The burden often falls on families like the Tindals to raise the funds required to develop a treatment for their child. But rarity should never determine whether a child is worthy of research, treatment, or hope.
