2021 Destiny Budget Needs & Essential Work
Faeries and Friends:
Thanks to you, we are making steady progress toward our fundraising goals.
This campaign has been updated to reflect budget updates and priorities set during the Destiny Annual Business Meeting, held April 17-18th 2021.
Thanks to the generosity of donors in 2020, we can kick off this year knowing our basic operating expenses (insurance, taxes, road repairs, propane, media and bookkeeping services, etc.) are covered, and we can initiate essential kitchen repairs. That's awesome!
And - we need $30,000 to complete essential work and sustain Destiny for future years. Can you help us get there?
Goal 1: $15,000 ASAP
Keep Destiny Insured and Open!
No insurance, no Destiny. During the Annual Meeting, the community consented to moving ahead on upgrades required to maintain our existing insurance: replacing our fire extinguishers, installing a hood and fire suppression system, and finishing the west kitchen wall. We've raised nearly $6k so far through this campaign, help us get the rest of the way!!
Goal 2: $10,000 by August 1
Tend to Critical Land Projects
After a long winter, the land needs some serious TLC. A portion of land has been clear cut, all of which must be manually cut down, mulched, and removed. The storage shed cover, guarding all our tools and equipment, didn't make it through a recent wind storm and must be replaced. Road repairs are an annual expense ranging from 2-5k. And we intend to upgrade our outdoor handwashing stations and possibly get more port-o-potties to support future visits on the land.
Goal 3: $5,000 by April 2022
Preparing to Gather Again
We're all dreaming of the possibilities for gathering on the land together again. After two years of no Gathering income, help us ensure Gathering Plan-it has resources to make the dream possible in 2022. Our ability to operate as a NOTAFLOF is made possible by the generosity of those able to give coin.
