Dear Tennis Friends,

Consider sponsoring a child or two in need for tennis camp this summer. Essex Grassroots Tennis Education, INC. (EGTE), a non- profit (501)(c)(3), provides a summer tennis and education program for youth from East Orange and Newark. Each camper pays just $50 to attend the six-week program.

Founded in 2016 by PTR certified, high-performance coach Sam Inalegwu, EGTE offers a structured summer tennis program to youth of under-privileged families and communities. Last summer, 120 kids from Essex County, ages 5-18, participated in the summer instructional program. With your help, EGTE can reach more kids in need for summer 2018. The program runs for six weeks from July 9th-August 17th, 9am-4pm on weekdays, and is open to Essex County kids, ages 5-18. Through GoFundMe, EGTE hopes to raise $20,000 from donors to cover program costs including coaches and junior instructors, transportation and equipment. Whilst grants from the USTA cover training, rackets and balls, donations from private donors make this opportunity a reality for under resourced/low income youth.

Stay tuned for more information regarding an EGTE Charitable Tennis Event, geared to help EGTE implement a structured tennis program to benefit the communities of East Orange and Newark, and eventually expand across Essex County. EGTE programs are based on the philosophy of tennis legend Arthur Ashe, "Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can."

Dear Tennis Friends,
First and foremost, our hearts goes out to anyone who has been impacted by the virus either directly or indirectly.
Our taught are especially with those who are sick to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for full recovery.
EGTE is actively preparing  for Tennis Summer program in Newark and Irvington, NJ ,for six weeks from, July,5- August-13,2021, 9am-12pm weekdays and open to youth ages 6-18 years old.
EGTE Tennis Courts will be reopening with enhanced safety measures meant to prevent the spread of the virus.

Social distancing will be enforced limiting the number of children allowed on court at any given time.

EGTE, is reaching out to our tennis friends hope to rise $5000 to help us further our mission bringing tennis and education to under resourced youth we serve.
