Riding with Ethan: A 100-Mile Journey for Epilepsy Awareness
Riding with Ethan: A Story of Love, Loss, and Legacy
Every Thanksgiving, my stepbrother Ethan Roberson and I had a tradition. Whether it was a friendly push-up contest or a race around the track, we always found a way to challenge each other through exercise. It was one of the countless things that made Ethan so special—his boundless energy, his kindness, and the joy he brought to everyone around him.
This year feels different. Ethan passed away in July of 2024 at just 19 years old due to epilepsy. He was an incredible person who touched the lives of so many with his kindness and light.
To honor his memory, I’m participating in the One Love Century Ride—a 100-mile bike ride taking place in Atlanta, Georgia. This ride isn’t just about the miles; it’s about continuing Ethan’s legacy of love and determination while raising awareness and support for those living with epilepsy.
The funds raised through this effort will go directly to the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia, supporting kids and adults facing the challenges of epilepsy. My goal is to reflect Ethan’s spirit—the spirit of pushing limits, uplifting others, and making a difference.
I invite you to join me in this journey by donating to this cause. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create a brighter future for those affected by epilepsy.
Let’s pedal together toward change, one mile at a time, with Ethan’s memory guiding the way.
Thank you for your support,
Carter
