Dear Family and Friends,

I’m reaching out to you today to share something that’s deeply personal to me, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting it during this critical time for immigrant families across the country. Many of you know that I had the honor of working at Enroot from 2018 to 2022, and I can honestly say that it was the best job I’ve ever had. Enroot is an organization that supports immigrant youth in Cambridge and Somerville, providing them with mentorship, after-school programs, internships, and access to resources that help them build the future they deserve.

As someone who knows firsthand the challenges of being an immigrant, Enroot’s mission has always been close to my heart. It filled me with purpose and joy to see these young people thrive. Now, as co-chair of the board of directors, I am more committed than ever to ensuring that Enroot’s work continues to make a lasting impact in our communities.

Unfortunately, the past few weeks have been incredibly difficult. Our dedicated staff has been working around the clock to support students during this politically charged and tumultuous time. With the fear of family separation, raids, and the uncertainty about what the future holds for our students and their families, the need for our work has never been greater.

That’s why Michael and I are starting this fundraiser. We need your help to ensure that Enroot can continue to provide its vital programs, support staff training, and increase our impact on the lives of our students. If you (like us) have been wondering what you can do to make a difference, this is a way to take action and create an immediate, meaningful impact for families who need it most.
