ECVN’s mission is to grow a unified, statewide community gun violence reduction ecosystem that breaks the cycle of violence and fosters safer communities in Delaware. ECVN is designed to mitigate common challenges experienced in the landscape, including lack of awareness on community gun violence and its impacts; disjointed efforts of actors in the violence reduction ecosystem; an absent data infrastructure, which is needed to make data-driven decisions; and a lack of diverse sustainable funding to ensure the continuation of violence reduction efforts over the long-term.
