Elm Grove Church in Mabank, Texas is building a new Sanctuary, and needs your help!

Elm Grove Church, considered a historical site, traces its community church ties to the 1870’s. The original log structure served as a church, school and community gathering place that was moved to the current site in 1883. For well over a century, Elm Grove Church has consistently served as a place of worship for multi-denominational services, respectfully working together.

A Building Fund has been gradually growing for future improvements for 15+ years. However, in December of 2020, much sooner than anticipated, a structural engineer’s inspection confirmed that the ancient Church Sanctuary was no longer safe as a place of worship, celebrations and other services. It had to be completely rebuilt!

While Elm Grove Church is small and rural, countless community members who have entered its doors over the decades continue to call this country church home. Elm Grove Church has also provided long-standing support to many missions, local and internationally, including Good Sam’s, Forever Families and Mercy Ships.

Construction on the new Sanctuary has been blessed, especially in light of challenges to the nation’s construction market. The community has readily donated, and the Sanctuary is coming along well, with God’s grace. Yet, Elm Grove Church’s Building Fund needs donations.
