First of all, we would like to thank our donors who helped us to compete last year! We were able to send two teams to the championships in 2023 and one in 2024!! There are pictures below from the competitions.
Who are we?
The Ellensburg Robotics Club is a nonprofit program for middle and high school students (grades 6-12) to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through hands-on projects in the field of robotics. Each year, our students work with VEX building systems (https://www.vexrobotics.com) to build a competition robot to tackle the criteria of the specific year's game challenge. These kids spend many hours designing, building, coding and driving these robots - a process that requires a high degree of problem-solving, collaboration, and communication.
Why are we fundraising?
This club was formed to fill a need in the community - the need for competitive robotics at these grade levels! Our club is not attached to a school, and therefore is entirely funded by the generous donations of community businesses, organizations, individuals, and parents.
In addition to our ongoing yearly expenses which include tournament registration fees, field equipment (see photos below), expensive robot kits, and continual parts replacement - we are raising funds to help our teams attend regional tournaments! With these amazing opportunities comes additional expenses for students, such as registration and travel.
