Race for Theatre Education
The International Thespian Society (ITS) is very proud that our annual Thespian Festival is the premier international event for high school theatre. More than 3,000 students travel from all over the country, and even overseas, to attend this amazing week. The Festival is an exciting and inclusive theatrical experience that can change a student's life; perhaps such an experience even changed yours!
As an employee of the Educational Theatre Association (the parent organization of ITS), I have been able to witness firsthand the effect that the Thespian Festival has had on high schoolers. I have become passionate about the campaign, which is why I raised about $800 for the Educational Theatre Association and International Thespian Society's Send a Troupe to Festival campaign by racing at Ironman 70.3 Muncie 2013. In 2014, I will be racing at the NYC Triathlon, and want to exceed last year's number by raising $1,000!
