Save Our Chinatowns is teaming up with Good Good Eatz to raise funds for Oakland Chinatown businesses!

We released a limited edition zine and red envelope bundle  (which is now SOLD OUT) for the Lunar New Year, titled "Have You Eaten Yet?". The zine includes recipes contributed by Oakland Chinatown businesses Yuen Hop Noodle Co., Cam Anh Deli, and Green Fish Seafood Market. All proceeds from the zines will be distributed to these businesses, but we wanted to create another way for folks to support them as well.

In addition to the zine sales, all donations from this fundraiser will directly benefit the Oakland Chinatown businesses.

Save Our Chinatowns is a grassroots initiative with the goal of raising funds, creating awareness, and connecting communities within Oakland and SF Chinatowns - through art, conversation, and shared love of food. 

About Good Good Eatz:
Good Good Eatz is an Oakland-based organization that brings communities together through food and culture. They strive to make deep connection within a two decades-old network of community: donors, business districts and communities in need.

About EBALDC: 
East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) is a non-profit community development organization with over 45 years of experience in building healthy, vibrant and safe neighborhoods in Oakland and East Bay. We address the specific needs of individual neighborhoods by connecting the essential elements of health and wellbeing through our Healthy Neighborhoods Approach. EBALDC is Good Good Eatz's fiscal sponsor, and all donations from this fundraiser will be going towards GGE through EBALDC. 

Old Oakland Neighbors  wants to strengthen our neighborhood identity, clean up our streets and do our part to divert litter from clogging our storm drains and polluting the bay.  How? We want to cover our ugly trash can enclosures with beautiful mosaics featuring local birds and plants.  But we can’t do it alone.

With your help we can transform Old Oakland’s ugly trash cans into neighborhood treasures.  When more people notice our beautiful new trash cans, more people will use them.

We have received some generous grant funding and we have some dedicated volunteers to get us started, but we need support from people like you to scale our efforts.  We have completed 19 Old Oakland mosaic cans so far, and have recently expanded our scope  to include Lafayette Square Park. We hope to cover all the cans in the neighborhood, but we will only be able to proceed as funds are raised.
