About Ducks For Dementia

My son David started Ducks for Dementia at age 10 in March of 2023. David's grandmother had Dementia and lived in our home. At the age of two, his father was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's. David always loved how his father and grandmother would come to life, smiling and laughing when they played with his Little Yellow Toy Ducks. When his father had to go to a Memory Care Center, David decided to bring Ducks to all of the patients at the center. Maybe it was nostalgia or happy memories, but the patients were clearly happy again. David decided that he was going to send Ducks to Memory Care Homes throughout the country; he's even gotten them to Quebec and the island of Guam!! It had opened so many doors and helped us make so many new friends! And Smiles, One Duck at a Time!
