Help support Rachel in honoring Dan and Matt's legacy
Hi everyone,
This April, I’m running a marathon to raise funds and awareness for Driven to Cure, a nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure for HLRCC (Hereditary Leiomyomatosis and Renal Cell Cancer), a rare and aggressive form of kidney cancer.
This mission is incredibly close to my heart. I’ll be running in honor of two remarkable men whose lives were cut far too short by cancer. The first is Dan Kaluf, who passed away after bravely battling HLRCC and was supported by Driven To Cure. The second is my Uncle Matt, who passed away after his own brave fight with RCC (renal cell carcinoma). Their strength, determination, and their ability to make people smile/laugh while fighting their own battles motivate me every day to make a difference.
Driven to Cure is leading the charge in funding critical research for HLRCC and providing support for families affected by this rare disease. Every dollar raised through this campaign will help advance life-saving research and bring hope to those who need it most.
Running this marathon and putting in 422 miles of training is my way of honoring Dan, Matt, and everyone whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Your support—whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign means the world to me.
Thank you for helping me keep their memories alive and for joining me in the fight to make a difference.
F Kidney Cancer.
Sincerely,
Rachel Schoonveld
