Dreamweavers PPE Gear for Dane County
Dreamweavers, Inc. (a 501c3 non-profit) is one of a small group of organizations serving nearly 1,500 adults with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries living in Dane County, Wisconsin. We are in dire need of funds to purchase more Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and we will also need to offer hazard pay to maintain our frontline caregivers throughout this evolving pandemic. We are almost exclusively providing 24/7 direct support due to the shut down necessary for wider public health, and many of our workers also serve in healthcare settings throughout Dane County.
Your generous donation will help us in two ways. First, we use the funds to purchase and distribute PPE gear--N95 masks, gloves, gowns, and eye protection. Second, if we meet our goal, we will build a small cash reserve used for hazard pay.
Your donation will allow us to help keep our community workers and clients safe, help prevent new cases of COVID-19, and allow us to offer the protection our workers need to spare spreading this virus to their own families. With a generous base donation from BioForward , we acquired sterile gloves and eye protection. As N95 respirators (masks) become available, and as we move through the coming weeks and months, we'll need to have the cash reserves to order many, many more.
