Dragonfly Aerial Arts Studio

Hi there, friend! We're raising money to benefit Dragonfly Aerial & Circus Arts Studio, our hometown circus here in Knoxville, TN. Any donation will help make a difference in our community!


Because of the impacts of  COVID-19 in the last year, we've had some pretty significant hiccups as an organization.  In order to keep up with the changing times and ensure the safety of our community members, we closed our doors for several months, limited our class sizes after re-opening, directed money and efforts to train our teachers to teach safely without hands-on spotting, and have shifted or postponed normal in-person community circus events that keep us going. Though we're starting to find a new groove in these times, we've found ourselves struggling and treading water to get back on our feet financially. We've set a goal to raise $9,000, which is equivalent to 6 months of rent, so that we can quit playing catch up and get back to focusing on what really matters--providing scholarships to kids, teaching classes to adults and kids, and bringing circus experiences to the community. The arts have been heavily affected by the Covid pandemic, and we are excited to get back to providing cultural and artistic circus performances in the community.


As teachers, organizers, volunteer Management Team and Board Members, we believe that the circus is a home for everyone, a community of hope and inclusivity, where the impossible becomes possible. Dragonfly creates a safe space where every student is welcomed and celebrated for their uniqueness and can express their creativity. It is an honor to watch our students work and create together, find a sense of community, and build confidence as they achieve personal goals and accomplishments at our studio. 


Dragonfly Aerial & Circus Arts Studio is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is committed to improving the lives of those in the Knoxville community. We share the health and wellness benefits of circus arts with people of all ages, with a particular mission to reach at-risk and under-resourced youth through our community outreach programs, tuition scholarships, children’s circus camp and classes, and annual Circus Extravaganza event.


With a donation of $25,  we will tag you in a special weekly circus social media thank you post. With a donation of $50, we will send you a Dragonfly Aerial and Circus Arts mask to get through the pandemic with style and swagger. 

With a donation of $100, we will record a special outgoing message for voice mail, complete with accordion. 

With a donation of $250, you can get a vintage Dragonfly circus poster from a past circus. 

With a donation of $500, we will come to your home and give you a socially distant stilt dance, if you are local. (If you aren’t local, we will film it and send it to you!) 

With a donation of $1000, we will give you a Covid-safe aerial party for up to six people in our studio (you will have to get yourself there!).
