Life Saving Surgery For Eldon
This special place, located in beautiful Hauser Lake, Idaho, is Double J Dog Ranch. We are the Inland Northwest's Premier Sanctuary and Re-homing center for dogs with special needs. At DJDR our focus is on the unique needs of each dog. This includes specialized vet care, training, therapies, acupuncture, end-of-life care and nourishing their souls...
Our sanctuary resident, Eldon, who is deaf and sight impaired, needs your help to receive life-saving surgery. Eldon's home has been at the sanctuary since he was 8 weeks of age, and now at 12 years old, he has been diagnosed with a sizeable hepatic carcinoma on his liver. The oncology team at WSU has seen him, and they feel the need to remove the tumor, at least in part, as it is pushing up on the organs in his stomach. This surgery's success can give Eldon another 3 years of quality life. The estimated cost is $6000-8000.
Our beloved Eldon, has been an essential member of DJDR's education outreach program for most of his life. He has educated thousands about dogs with special needs. He has such a great love for people, especially children, and we need to help give him the opportunity to continue his path as an educator.
