The Goal

The project aims to get people outside, active and bring awareness to our purpose and potential while giving back to kids in need.

 

What We're Doing

This is a year long fundraising event, each month we will be summiting a new 14,000+ foot mountain in the Colorado Rockies - 12 total in 2022! I have partnered with Denver Children's Foundation as the lead beneficiary (more info on them below) and will be raising money and awareness for the project's duration.  All funds raised will go directly to the foundation at the end of the year.

 

Donation Target: $12,000 ($1K/ month) Together, we should be able to crush this!

 

Who's the Money For 

Underprivileged teenagers and at-risk youth in need of support with school, parenting, depression, suicide, financial literacy & more

 

Who Can Hike

I will personally be doing every hike; however, this isn't about me and welcome anyone to participate! Each hike will be treated like an outdoor adventure while networking with people that have a similar passion. You can get involved in many ways - hike with me, donate, spread the word or even help me grow the project in other ways! I have experience but am not an expert or guide so please join at your OWN RISK.

When
January through December. A 14er will be completed each calendar month.

Hikes will be on the weekends and an early start between 5-7am.  More specific details on start time and trail head will come out the week of the hike.  Dates subject to change, weather dependent

·       February 26 - Mount Bierstadt
·       March 27 - Mount Sherman
·       April 16 - Pikes Peak
·       May 22 - Decalibron (4 peaks, 1 day - Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln, Bross)
·       June 25 - Mount Elbert
·       July 16 - Grays & Torreys Peak
·       August 27 - Mount Evans
·       September 10 - Mount Yale

About Denver Active 20-30 Children's Foundation: Our 30+year old foundation is dedicated to contributing to the betterment and welfare of at-risk and disadvantaged children in the local community. In its efforts to help others, each member also strives to develop character, become a better citizen, and learn to live and to appreciate a fuller and richer life. In addition, the organization strives to raise the community's awareness of the need to care for underprivileged children in the state of Colorado through fundraising and hands-on community service. Since our inception in 1987, events hosted by Denver Active 20-30 have raised more than $13 million.
