Since 1910, the mission of the Dental Center of Northwest Ohio has been to provide primary oral health services for underserved children and adults in Northwest Ohio, to promote the value of good oral health through education, and to serve as an advocate for those with limited access to dental care. We are a non-profit, safety net dental practices with offices in Toledo, Findlay, Van Wert, and Liberty Center. With the leadership of our current executive director Melinda Cree, and the expertise of our highly skilled and experienced dentists, hygienists, and assistants, we are able to provide quality, affordable dental care to thousands of adults and children across Northwest Ohio who are at or below 400% of the federal poverty level. Each year, we proudly serve over 25,000 individuals, including approximately 11,000 children, across 18 of Ohio’s 88 counties. Not only do we strive to provide quality oral health care to underserved individuals in the Northwest Ohio region, we are extremely committed to maintaining our strong advocacy and community outreach efforts. This is includes, but is certainly not limited to: care management for patients with complex health needs or extenuating circumstances, oral health education across the lifespan, from educating pregnant mothers, to children in early childhood centers, to older adults in senior centers, and serving as members of coalitions that tackle various social determinants of health. The contribution of a donation to our fundraiser will allow us to continue to do the meaningful work that we do and aid in expanding the reach of our efforts even further. All that we do, whether clinical, educational, or as advocates is done to ensure access to quality oral health care to underserved residents of Northwest Ohio.
