DELMARVA CAT CONNECTION, INC.

Delmarva Cat Connection is a non-profit organization that finds homes for homeless cats on the Delmarva Peninsula. We are completely volunteer-run and foster homeless cats in the homes of our volunteers until they have received all of their medical needs and are spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated. When they are ready, we put them up for adoption either online through our website or in person through the Salisbury, MD PetSmart.

Occasionally, we receive cats that need our help, who have special medical/dental needs that must be attended to in order for them to become adoptable. Lola is one of those cats and with your help we can meet her needs as well as those of other struggling cats.

Lola is a cat who was found running stray in Delmar, MD. The vet says she is between 5 and 6 years old. She is super friendly to people but not too fond of other cats. When we took her to the vet to be checked out, it was discovered that her teeth are in very bad shape. She has broken teeth, missing teeth, and exposed roots. Dental work is very expensive, and it will be nearly impossible to find her a home without first getting it taken care of. She has been out in the wild for the first 5-6 years of her life, hunting and foraging for food and struggling to find shelter from the weather. She has finally got a comfortable place to sleep and plenty of food to eat but will soon be unable to eat if her dental needs are not met. If we can raise the money to take care of her dental work, we can then work to find her a permanent place to live and be loved for the rest of her life, but the financial hurdle is a big one.
