Imagine being in a hospital room, scared and alone. You haven't smiled in days. But then, the door opens... and in walks a therapy dog. Soft eyes. A wagging tail. Pure love on four legs. And suddenly, the weight on your chest lifts — even just for a moment.
That moment matters.
At the Delilah Foundation, we exist to support the unspoken heroes of healing: therapy dogs and the selfless volunteers who give their time, love, and hearts to those in pain. From cancer patients to children with disabilities, from veterans with PTSD to lonely seniors in care homes — therapy dogs offer what medicine cannot: comfort, connection, and hope.
But here's the heartbreaking truth...
There are over 50,000 therapy dog teams in the U.S., and not a single national nonprofit is solely dedicated to supporting them — until now.
These teams pay for everything out-of-pocket: training, gear, travel, treats, and even the tiny gifts they give patients. They never ask for thanks. They just show up, again and again — to lift spirits, soothe pain, and bring light into the darkest places.
We believe they deserve better.
What Your Donation Supports:
Micro-grants for therapy dog teams to cover the growing costs of veterinary services, gas, and supplies.
Paws & Petals Project — where we visit seniors in assisted living with therapy dogs and a rose for each resident.
Appreciation awards for hardworking teams who give their hearts every single day, going above and beyond "spreading the Friendly".
These aren't luxuries. They're lifelines — for both the people receiving therapy and the dogs giving it.

We named our foundation after Delilah, a caring soul who spent her life walking into rooms full of sorrow and leaving them full of smiles. She’s no longer here, but her legacy lives on through every team we support.
