Get involved before it is too late! Please contribute to our fundraiser for our summer public awareness campaigns and lawsuits to defend Brigantine Beach and the other Jersey Shore communities from the devastating local environmental and economic impacts of the proposed wind turbine projects starting 9 miles off our coastlines. We support renewable energy but oppose the industrialization of our ocean by the proposed 1) Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind LLC, (a partnership of Shell New Energies US and EDF Renewables) project, and 2) Ocean Wind LLC (Orsted) project.

- Social Media Ad Campaign
- Neighborhood Ambassador Program
- Doorknob Hangers
- Speaking Engagements and Attendance at Numerous Community Events
LEGAL ACTION:
- Fight unreasonable actions violating both Federal and State statutes such as the Federal Marine Mammal Protection Act, The Endangered Species Act, Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, National Environmental Policy Act, the Historic Preservation Act, the State Coastal Zone Management Act and State Offshore Wind Energy Development Act.
Defend Brigantine Beach INC is a nonpartisan 501(c) 3 nonprofit which started in January of 2023 by a dozen concerned citizens in our community. A lot has happened since our first meeting, Our organization has progressed at lightning speed and through our tireless public outreach and education efforts, we now have almost 4,000 followers on our Facebook Page and many hardworking unpaid volunteers. Our public awareness and legal actions are coordinated with other NJ opposition groups including Protect Our Coast NJ and SaveLBI. We are part of an East Coast Coalition opposing the industrialization of our ocean and new groups are joining every day. With all of you, we can make a significant difference and keep our oceans and beaches pristine. Thank you for your consideration.
