About Deep Vellum Publishing

Deep Vellum is a nonprofit independent publisher and literary arts center based in Dallas. The only independent nonprofit publishing house in the state of Texas, DV was founded in 2013 with the mission to bring the world into conversation through literature. DV fosters inclusion and diversity in the literary arts by publishing works by some of the greatest writers from all over the world and supports the literary community through interactive performances and reader-centric discussions that promote lifelong love of reading among all populations. DV began by publishing international works in translation for English-speaking audiences, and in 2019 we expanded our editorial vision to print English-original works, including poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and art with a focus on Texas writers.
