At DART STEM Services , we aim to ensure all students have access to STEM education opportunities regardless of where or how they go to school. One of the ways we do this is through our computer recycling program. We accept donated computer hardware and other technology, then we diagnose, repair, and repurpose that equipment for student use. It might become part of a computer lab at a small private or rural school, or it might be given to an individual student who doesn’t have one of their own. Further, we turn the process of refurbishing these devices into educational opportunities where students learn how to install hard drives, load operating systems and other software, and even do some board level repairs like replacing leaking capacitors.

While the computers are generally provided to us at no cost, there are costs associated with getting these computers ready for their new lives! You financial support helps to pay for repair parts, labor, and shipping so this equipment may be put back into service.
