Project Ember is thrilled to announce that the UltraCamp Foundation has again offered to support our fundraising efforts by providing our community a fully tax-deductible way to donate to our scholarship fund. All funds raised for UCF through this campaign will go directly to families requesting scholarship funds at Project Ember. The economic impacts of COVID-19 have been widespread, and it is more important than ever to make camp accessible to as many children as possible. 

What is Project Ember?

Project Ember is a summer camp that empowers kids to design and build large-scale, interactive art with professional power tools. And when we say large-scale, we mean big enough to for our campers to ride in, climb on, or operate. Our motto is Build Something Bigger because beyond the excitement of power tools and projects, we hope every camper leaves Project Ember having seen just how big of an impact they can have on the world.

Our 2021 Goal: 

Kids need the joy, freedom, and deep connection of camp now more than ever, and we intend to provide that opportunity to every family in our community who has been hard hit by this pandemic. With your help, we can bring relief to families and a summer of reconnection to the kids.

Since our founding, our community has come together every year to lift each other up. With your help, we've grown our scholarship program from modest awards totaling $13,000 in 2016 to more than $50,000 in 2019. Despite closing all our programs in 2020, our donors generously contributed more than $20,000 toward future scholarship applicants. With a month to go before summer starts, we have already received scholarship requests for nearly $50,000. Can we count on your support to bring every child back to camp after this year of separation? We need your help to reach our goal of raising an additional $20,000.

What is the UltraCamp Foundation? 

The UltraCamp Foundation  is dedicated to making opportunities for young people, who would otherwise not be able, to experience camp by providing grants to qualifying camps within the United States. Project Ember has worked with the UCF for several summers to make charitable giving possible for our program. We are so grateful for their continued support in achieving our mission. (The UltraCamp Foundation is a DBA for the Daniel and Joelle Ashley Foundation. All donors will receive a letter from UltraCamp acknowledging receipt of their donation.)
