Meet Ace (Blue Puppy) and Maverick (Black Puppy). These boys are 6 month old Great Dane puppies that we pulled from a local shelter. Both puppies have Upper Respiratory Infections and Pneumonia along with being completely emaciated and covered in fleas. Ace also has severe hip dysplasia and will need complete hip replacement surgery on both hips. All of Ace's paperwork has been sent to the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital Orthopedic Surgery department. Both boys are being treated locally for the pneumonia. We are slowly trying to put weight back on them. Ace weighed just 54 pounds at arrival and Maverick was 74.5 pounds. Ace and Maverick were found running in a park trying to play and lick the park attendants. Neither one of them knows how to eat from a dog bowl but we have gotten them to eat from a pan instead of the ground. I'm not sure what kind of life these boys started with but we would really like to give them the life they deserve. Maverick and Ace both will need Gastropexy surgery once they are fully well to make sure they have no problems with bloat in the future. I know this is a lot for these guys but they are so sweet and deserve a chance at a normal life with a family that loves them. With your help we can make this happen. We have been given an estimate of 13000.00 to 17000.00 for just one hip at UF due to their size.

Gary was a tough guy with a special place in his heart for senior dogs. He always said when he was better, he'd like to foster an old dog, making their senior years good.

He got sick and it didn't happen, but I, his wife Patti, thought if anyone wants to make a donation for 'The Old Man', you could help Gary still help an old dog.

It is baby season and we are taking in lots of little ones. We have opossums, raccoons, mallards, gopher tortoises and any other wildlife baby that needs our help.

We are currently raising money to help purchase all the special diets these little ones need in order to grow up strong and ready to return to the wild. Any help is greatly appreciated.
