Disabled Adults and Care Staff Need You!
There are many incredible people putting their lives at risk to keep others safe during this awful pandemic. Some of those workers you may not have thought about include the selfless direct care workers at Crotched Mountain, where one of my family members is a resident.
The residents at Crotched Mountain have severe disabilities and require round the clock care, so these amazing direct care workers are on call 24/7. They are hourly employees who are choosing to come to work each day, risking infection, because they know their residents depend on them.
Crotched Mountain has not been spared from COVID-19 as some staff have already become infected and thus can no longer come to work. Instead of working only their typical hours, healthy staff have decided to take on even more hours, sometimes working back to back shifts and long hours, so that their residents are never put in jeopardy.
Please join our family in contributing to this fund that will go directly to these direct care workers who now, more than ever, deserve our appreciation and thanks for continuing to protect the most vulnerable among us.
