Cristo Rey is the nations largest private network of college and career preparatory schools exclusively serving the most marginalized population of students from secondary educational options; those in the lowest income quartile. Our students are culturally and linguistically diverse, identifying as 98% young men and women of color. 2/3 of admitted students must qualify for free and reduced lunch, while the other 1/3 can have a gross family income of 300% of the federal poverty threshold or below. Across the network, the average annual family income of students attending our schools is $38,000. Our novel approach to education provides students with rigorous academic preparation for college while they gain valuable work experience in a corporate setting and advance their social capital.
