Creative Waco

Many of you know local artist and Wacoan Cade Kegerreis. He has helped tell the stories of our community through beautiful murals and public artworks, now he needs your support.

Over the Halloween weekend, his backpack, containing essential tech for his work, was stolen from his car. Cade's computer, iPad, projector, and external hard drive which housed invaluable designs were all taken. This represents his livelihood and contained his work for this year's ARTPrenticeship project and many other community initiatives.

While a police report has been filed there's little hope of their recovery. Cade is one of two designers leading our ARTPrenticeship program and this equipment is necessary to continue his work. Anyone who knows him knows that he is constantly giving his talents to our community. Now it’s our turn to give back to him!

Will you join us in helping to fund the replacement of his equipment and getting his work back on track? Any donation toward this cause will be so appreciated! This fabulous 7' x 6' painting, "The Professional", by Nathan Trampe was a show stopper at the Waco 52 exhibition at the Texas State Capitol in Austin and then when the exhibition was shown on Austin Avenue back in Waco. 

We want to purchase it to donate to the Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce. They have a great space for this epic piece and it resonates strongly with their mission. 

Help us raise the money needed to purchase this piece to keep in Waco as a powerful and inspiring piece of art for a public place.

For now, you can see the piece in the Creative Waco workspace on the second floor at "Cultivate 7Twelve", 712 Austin Ave.

All supporters will be invited to a celebratory jazz party at which the painting will be handed over to the Chamber.
