Coreluv Maissade Water Project
There are 40 Children in a Maissade orphanage (and countless more in the community) who are in desperate need of clean water. We love these kids, and the place they call home - please help us care for them by providing this vital, life sustaining resource!
CRU Houston went on our first mission trip with Coreluv in November 2016 to share God's love and message with the children and staff at the Myan Orphanage in Gonaives, Haiti. We quickly fell in love with these children and all that is happening in the hearts of this Haitian community, and now we are hoping to continue to love and support them by aiding in the construction of a water pump! Clean water is not easy to come by in Haiti, especially in Maissade.
Coreluv has generous donors that have agreed to match ALL funds raised in the month of May! That means any amount you are able to donate will be doubled. What an amazing blessing!
The mission of Coreluv is to provide the 6 basic needs (clean water, proper food, health care, education, job skills, and a loving home) to children in need. They truly embody Isaiah 1:17 , “Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the orphan. Fight for the rights of widows.”
Our team, who went to Haiti in November, is looking to assist Coreluv in providing one of the 6 basic needs for their newest orphanage in Maissade, Haiti (opening it's physical doors in July 2017). They have tried to drill wells, but the water is not safe to drink. Unfortunately, this means paying very high prices to bring water to the orphanage by truck.
Providentially, Coreluv recently found a different way to provide the water they need - a river 3/4 of a mile from the orphanage! Below, you can see the initial sketch of this dream that is becoming a reality - a sustainable water source for the Coreluv family in Maissade!
The funds that we are looking to raise will help to provide all the piping needed, the physical water pump and a water truck.
These funds we are raising will help to allow the children at Maissade to attain the 6 basic needs that we can take for granted. Our team of 13 would love your support in any way to help us achieve our goal!
