Compassionate Friends needs help
We're missing the students! We're missing the horses!
We're missing the lessons and the laughter and the love!
On March 16th Compassionate Friends Therapeutic Riding Center (CFTRC) canceled all lessons, due to the Covid-19 virus. CFTRC is a non-profit, equestrian program that provides horseback riding lessons and equine assisted therapy. Compassionate Friends works with special needs individuals. It is our mission to strengthen the body, mind and spirit of each person while fostering independence in a safe environment. The CFTRC program is operated largely by volunteers.
The safety of everyone involved, both students and volunteers, is our first priority. However, the income derived from the lessons helps to off set the expenses of feeding and caring for all the program horses. CFTRC is hoping to raise at least $1,000 to help with some of the expenses. During #GivingTuesdayNow, GoFundMe will match our fundraising efforts.
