You can make a difference by donating today to help Denise Nicholas, who is now homeless due to a house fire. Denise grew up a Navy brat but had no local family support. A sudden change in a long-term relationship left her struggling to find affordable housing. She found a small studio bungalow in rural NC three weeks ago. Unfortunately, her excellent luck Saturday turned into tragedy on Sunday; she was homeless. With no renters insurance, Denise lost everything; medications, eyeglasses, cell phone, computer, clothing, furnishings, identification, and credit cards. Her car was also damaged due to the heat of the fire melting the front grill and headlights. The $75,000 goal is to cover the $59,000 cost of purchasing and furnishing a mobile home for Denise.
