Reusable Bags for Richland County
Hi! We work with a non profit called Community Life Ministries of Richland County. We help share a weekly meal with some folks who may have food limitations and we look to get other connections and needs met—everything from socks to housing. It’s a great privilege and great fun and we’ve gotten to know some great people.
One big need we’ve noticed is that many people have trouble transporting things, especially meals that we share. Most of our friends are on foot and the reused plastic grocery bags we have aren’t reliable. Two friends are often on bicycles and help distribute food and other items even farther. We pray each week that the bags will stay strong as they bike back up the hill!
We’d like to get something sturdier to share with people, something that could be brought back every week or to carry anything else people might need. We are looking to purchase some large heavy duty grocery bags, possibly even insulated. We are dreaming big: we’d like to buy 1000 reusable bags for $5000. We want to get these bags to other nonprofits and ministries to pass out as well.
Would you be interested in helping? We are looking at $5 bags. If you’d like to help out, contact us or send a check to CLM 2402 Woodbound Place, Ontario, Ohio 44903. Or Venmo @Community-Life-Ministries. This will help so many people! Thanks, truly!
