Save the Farrell Stey-Nevant Library
History
In 1932, the Farrell Library first opened on the 2nd floor of the Farrell Fire Station. The current building, on the corner of Roemer Blvd. & Beechwood Ave., was erected in 1951. Through our 88 years we have provided literacy services, been a place for learning, reading, and meeting. We have fostered cultural exchange and social dialogue all while reinforcing community ties. The Stey-Nevant Library, along with the city and area, have faced hard financial times before. In 2016, faced with grim financial choices, we triumphed by becoming a branch of the Community Library of the Shenango Valley (CLSV). Through this partnership, the library has evolved into a center of community activity and resources we are today. We find ourselves in financial jeopardy.
