Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country

Hi, I'm Michael Rezendes, IAH based 777 FO and live in the Texas Hill country. I am trying to raise funds for the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country in response to the flooding that occurred on July 4th, 2025 and smaller floods thereafter. This community, especially Kerr County was devastated by the floods with tremendous loss of life. For the survivors, they are just starting to put their lives back together. Most of us have a personal connection to the Hill Country - whether it's a favorite vacation spot, a family tie, or a place we call home. Let's show our appreciation for the community's support by donating to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.

Let's challenge ourselves and our fellow pilots across domiciles to give back. Please consider giving what you can, maybe a 1/2 hour or hour of pay if possible. Everything donated goes directly to the Foundation and a secondary goal is to highlight the achievements at a public event, perhaps a concert etc. I appreciate your effort,

Hi! My name is Mollee Cheek and I’m an intern with Medix. Committed to our mission of Positively Impacting Lives, I’m helping to coordinate a one-week fundraiser through our Dallas office in response to the recent flooding that has severely impacted Kerr County and communities across Texas. This cause is especially meaningful to us, as many in our region have been deeply affected by these events.

From July 24th to August 1st, we’re rallying support for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. Recent flooding has devastated parts of Kerr County, leaving the community in urgent need of assistance.

This fund provides direct support to vetted local organizations delivering hands-on rescue, relief, and recovery services. While it does not provide direct cash assistance to individuals, it powers the services and partnerships that make a lasting impact in the community.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, goes directly to support relief and rebuilding efforts. This is a meaningful opportunity to stand with the Hill Country community and make a real difference.

My name is Nora Blue, and I’m turing 8 years old this August.

Nora Blue

A Message from Nora's mom, Katie Blue

Nora had been talking about running a summer lemonade stand for a long time now. The truth is that Nora wants to work and make money. A lemonade stand made perfect sense to her!

While we obviously want to support Nora's desire to work and run a business, we encouraged Nora to run a lemonade stand where 100% of what she raises goes to charities important to her and our family.

If you are able to visit our lemonade stand in person, any money Nora raises there will be donated to The American Heart Association. Nora was born with a special heart, and we are fortunate that one surgery meant Nora could live a life free of its effects. Nora knows that others are not so lucky, so The American Heart Association is her charity of choice.

We also chose to collect online donations from those who would like to give but can't meet us in-person on August 2nd. As a family, we spent 10 years living and working in Texas. The devastating loss of young life at Camp Mystic -- young girls Nora's age -- and others throghout Kerr County has weighed heavy on our hearts. So, The Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country is our family's charity of choice.
